Take Control of Your Budget
Managing your money doesn't require handing over access to your bank account via third-party aggregation apps, nor does it require complex spreadsheet software. The AllTools Expense Tracker provides a radically simplified approach to personal finance: manual, mindful tracking of your daily income and output directly from your web browser. By actively typing in what you spend, you develop a much stronger psychological connection and awareness regarding your financial habits.
How to Use the Expense Tracker
Financial management is streamlined down to the essentials:
- Adding Transactions: Use the form on the left pane to log a new entry. Select whether the transaction was an Expense (money leaving) or Income (money arriving). Provide a brief description, enter the exact dollar amount, assign it a logical category, and click "Add Transaction".
- Viewing the Dashboard: As soon as you add a transaction, the large summary box at the top will intrinsically update your Total Net Balance, as well as breaking down your aggregated Income versus your aggregated Expenses.
- Managing the Ledger: The right pane acts as your chronological ledger, showing your most recent financial movements at the top. If you make a mistake, simply click the small trash can icon next to the transaction to permanently erase it from the budget list.
Privacy Guaranteed Using Local Storage
Financial data is some of the most sensitive personal information a person possesses. We architected the Expense Tracker to be hyper-secure by removing the backend entirely. All of the numbers, descriptions, and totals you input into this application are stored directly in your browser's native HTML5 Local Storage database. This means that zero information is ever successfully sent, stored, or processed on the AllTools servers. If you wish to wipe the slate clean, simply click "Clear All" or purposefully clear your browser cache.
